What We Offer

The goal of the facility is to provide the necessary infrastructure and support for researchers at Iowa to undertake structural studies, especially for novice users. We provide facilities and training for:

  • Protein purification
  • Protein characterization
  • Structure determination by cryo-EM and x-ray crystallography
  • Data collection and processing
  • Model building and analysis
  • Molecular modeling
  • Small angle x-ray scattering

Location

The Protein and Crystallography Facility is located on the 4th floor of Bowen Science Building on the University of Iowa Health Sciences Campus. The 4-600 core is across from Biochemistry Stores. Visitor parking is available in the Newton Road Parking Ramp (see map).
